Tori went to the dentist this week for the first time. She watched me get my teeth cleaned, and even used a tool in my mouth several times. Then, it was her turn. It does help that her uncle is a dentist, but she was a little scared at first. She didn't want any sharp tools in her mouth so she just got a polish of the teeth and a few teeth got flossed.

Saturday night we went to a cookout at the Durr's house. We had a great time catching up with everyone. Tori felt like she was right back at farm camp. She has several more months until it's time for that again.

Trunk or Treat #1

Costumes take 1. We went to trunk or treat at 4th Avenue this year. My little Princess and the Frog. I cannot believe Brady actually wore his costume all night. He loves to wear hats, but only if they are sports related hats...he was not in love with his frog eyes in the beginning, but he did it.

Is this in his future? Honestly, I hope not but we will see!

Jessie and David had Samuel (Sam) Thomas on September 24th at around 8:15 a.m. He weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz. Yay for nephews!

D came out to the waiting room to let the family know that baby Sam was here and Jessie and Sam were doing good. Brady congratulated D with a high five!

We went back to the hospital that night with Tori. She loved holding Sam for the first time.

This was our first sighting of Sam. Brady was the first one to greet D. He is still a little obsessed.

I love this picture of the three of them. Tori still put Jessie to work that night. They played and drawed even though Jessie couldn't feel her fingers at that point. Tori wanted Jessie to take her to the bathroom, but we had to say no.

And, we are off. Brady had his first day of preschool and Tori started her 3rd year. That is hard to believe. They both did great. I walked them in today to get a few pictures. There were no tears when I left, so that was a good sign.

New York

Bryan and I took a trip to New York without the kiddos. We did this two years ago, but Bryan was sick most of the trip. This time we both got the stomach bug two days before we left. At least we got it out before the trip this time! We had so much fun. It was really nice to get away, be on our own schedule, and do whatever we wanted to do. We went to the US Open one day, went to see a play, and did some shopping.

Brady is all boy. He loves bats, balls, hats, and trains. His favorite word is no. I am ready for that phase to be done. He can say a few more words now. In a couple of weeks, he will start preschool two days a week. He loves to sit in Bryan's lap and watch ball. He loves for me to brush his teeth. He sleeps with his Mickey every night. He plays well with Tori...most of the time. It is fun to see them talk and play together. He still loves the Grandpas and Uncles in his life.

Arkansas

I took the kids to Arkansas this summer. We stopped to stay with Hoy, Ali, Logan, and Lucy. The kids did so great on the drive. We stopped at Howard and Sherry's for Lucy's 3rd birthday party then stayed at Ali's new house down the street. We had a great visit. I just wish it was longer.

Then, I picked up Lauren in Little Rock and we headed to Scott, AR to see Amy. I haven't seen her in years, so we had such a great time. This is the only picture I have of our kids minus Claire.

Then, we headed to Grandma and Papaw's house. We had so much fun with them for several days.

Memorial Day

Pops landed from Haiti on Sunday night just in time for a cookout for Memorial Day at Mimmy and Pops' house.

CF Walk

Tori was diagnosed with CF in December of 2009. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects the respiratory and digestive systems. They have come so far with this disease every year.

Tori continues to do 3 breathing treatments daily, chest therapies, and takes enzymes before every meal and snack. She has handled the changes amazingly and I believe that it is because so many people have been praying for Tori and our family.

We have begun working with the CF Foundation here in Nashville to help raise money and awareness for this disease. We had a CF walk in May at the Nashville Zoo. We had over 120 people supporting us that day!!

The Nashville Great Strides Walk raised close to $240,000 that will help with research and to hopefully find a cure for this disease!

We are back from Disney World. Yes, we went again:) We all had a great time! The kids loved it! Tori was obsessed with all the characters, but Brady could definitely live without them!

My sweet Brady is 1 tomorrow. Everyone says how fast time goes when you have kids but seriously, it is unbelievable how fast it goes. Brady is happy, laid back, loves men, loves any kind of ball, loves his big sister,thinks it's hilarious to put anything on his head, pretends to talk on the phone, says mama, dada, hi, da (I know that's not a word, but he means ball), mi (means milk). By far, his favorite time of the day is to go with me to Tori's room when Tori wakes up from her nap. It has been such a fun year...can't wait until the next!

Next, we headed to Paw Paw and Mae Mae's house. We ate a non-traditional Christmas dinner with ribs and opened presents. The kids had a great Christmas day.

Don't ask about this knight or whatever he is. This was a hiding place for a scavenger hunt for Cole's enormous toolbox.

So, I've been wanting to get the kids a playset for the backyard. My parent's neighbors have one that Tori loves. My parents and grandparents surprised us all and gave them one for Christmas. Let me tell you...I was super excited not to make this purchase...and the best thing is my dad MADE it!

We ate such a yummy brunch at Mimmy and Pops' house then opened more presents.

Yes, this is a plunger. Her Aunt Jessie took her to the bathroom recently and Tori saw a plunger and was very curious. Tori told her that she was going to ask Santa for a pink and purple plunger and Jessie delivered.

These cars are so great! Brady rides in his car all the time!

Tori is officially 3! She is a joy to be around! She already has such a sweet heart. Tori loves to draw (many hours each week), school, friends, take care of her baby dolls, play with Brady, playgrounds, read books, organize anything...mainly her stuffed animals, dance, playdoh, pray, and sit on the counter to help me cook (and clean out my spice cabinet).

After celebrating in Disney all week, we came home and celebrated Tori's birthday some more.

That's right...we went to Disney again. We went after Thanksgiving, so we were there for all the Christmas decorations. It was a great time to go and everything was decorated over the top. Thanks for another great trip Mimmy and Pops! This was Brady a lot of the trip...when he gets tired...he will sleep anywhere!

Tori had her fall party at school yesterday. She still loves school. She jumps out of the car when I drop her off and never looks back. Her teachers are great this year, too! Here is Tori with Miss Michelle and Miss Ashley.

Brady - 8 months

Brady is 8 months! He is so sweet and happy. He just had 2 more teeth pop through, so this week he has been a little bit clingy...wants someone in his sight most of the time. He scoots backwards and in circles, but no crawling forward yet.

We went to Gentry's Farm on Saturday. The kids had a great time being outside and enjoying all the activities.

We dropped the kids off at Paw Paw and Mae Mae's house afterwards and went out just the two of us. We had a date night at Outback and ran some errands. It was such a great day!

Paw Paw got the kids sweatshirts last week in Arkansas...they loved seeing each other in them...especially the hoods!

It is really hard to get a Sunday morning picture these days!
This is how Tori wakes up now...all animals and babies neatly wrapped and placed in their perfect places. I just think she takes 3 hour naps...who knows how long this takes her everyday.

Bryan and I were both out of town last weekend, so Brady went to my parent's house and Tori had her first sleepover a friend's house. She and Emma Cate did great. Thanks Amanda!

Tori had her first day back at school yesterday. She just went right in...I had to make her give me a hug.

We stayed with Mimmy and Pops for a week and a half due to some issues with our walls and crawl space. We moved back in the house yesterday.

We played with Macey and Madison a lot this week. They love their mom and Mimmy, but I was able to still get some play time in, too...and lots of kisses from Madison.

Brady - 6 months

Brady is 6 months this week. He weighs 21 lbs. and is 27 inches. He got his first tooth and learned how to sit up on his own. We are enjoying summer as it's winding down.

First time in a high chair at a restaurant. We went to Swanky's for Jeff's birthday...yummy!

Brady is now 5 months. He weighs 19 lbs. He is so sweet and his smile and laugh make my heart melt.

This was Pops' chair, then Bryan's, and now Brady's!

Brady tried some sweet potatoes today. He was not sure about them at first, but of course, he did not turn away any of it!

Brady is really starting to play with toys, loves the exersaucer, and bumbo seat.

Arkansas

Audra and I decided to take a quick trip to Arkansas. The weekend was quick but the ride down there was not. It took us 10 hours instead of 6 hours due to a flat tire. Luckily, the kids did great being in the car for that long. We were on the interstate, so there was no getting out and playing for them. Brady took a 2 hour nap (which he does not do at home) and Tori watched movies. It was worth it because we had a great time with my grandparents.

We were glad Audi was with us!

4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July weekend. Saturday we had a huge cookout at Mimmy and Pops' house. That night we had another cookout at the Tanner's house! Sunday, Tori and I went to Virginia's birthday party. All that fun and Tori didn't see any fireworks. We will have to work on that next year.

Brady is 4 months already. We started feeding him rice cereal with a spoon. He is growing fast! He weighed 17 lbs. 12 oz. and 26 inches long.

I have been taking Tori to get her picture made every few months. Her panel came in this week!!

7 and 12 months

Tori took an interest to Bryan hitting golf balls outside the other and that was all it took. He had a couple of clubs made for her from a friend at church. She loves them.

She loves jumping off the sides with Ducky David (that's what she calls this floatie). She loves swimming around with it by herself. We are starting to work with her a little without the floaties, too.

The girl loves her bambi. She recently found my backup bambi, so sometimes she gets to sleep with both bambis...along with about 20 other stuffed animals in her bed.

Brady started rolling over this week (from his back to his stomach). We start eating cereal from a spoon next week...let the fun and mess begin!

Our church has a baby presentation each quarter to present all the new babies and give them their first Bible. We had all of our families over for lunch afterwards. I'm glad everyone could come!

You can't tell but Tori has BIG GIRL PANTIES on! That's right...we started potty training on Tuesday since we are done with school. I stayed home with her for two days to get some good practice. It's going great!

Gatlinburg

We went to Gatlinburg for a long weekend with Bryan's parents and Jessie. I hadn't been in several years. We had a great time. We just shopped and ate mainly...what we do best on trips!

Matching Dumbo pjs! The 12 month pjs fit Brady even though is only 3 months! We have another laid back baby...so far:) He is starting to laugh some.

How many pictures do we need of just the two of us mom?? Oh just wait:)

The place we stayed was really nice. It even had a lazy river that we enjoyed one afternoon. Tori was finally warming up to the baby waterfall.

We had a great Mother's Day. I feel like each Mother's day I am more and more blessed. Of course, this is my first mother's day with two kiddos and I could not ask for a better mother or mother-in-law.

We went to church with my parents then picked up some barbeque and headed to the land.

So, I'm doing better about getting out with the two kiddos. We are doing well. Yesterday we took the kids to the zoo after school. Brady slept the whole time. We let the boys ride together in one stroller and the girls in the other.

Audra and Cole are married! We had a great wedding weekend with friends and family. It was so great to see everyone that was able to make it. We were very nervous about the weather up to last minute, but God is good. It didn't rain at all when we had our pictures made before, during the ceremony, or the reception. If you were in town this weekend, you would not have believed it. The wedding was beautiful and it was so much fun!
