Christmas Day!

Bryan and I woke up early Christmas morning to open our gifts to each other. He surprised me with a Canon Rebel...Yeah!!! I was so excited. He might regret that decision now because I have taken so many pictures. Tori woke up and opened her presents from Santa then we headed to Bryan's parents for breakfast and presents. We went to my parents for the rest of the day. Tori was a little tired of presents by the end of the day. She didn't get very good naps, but she hung in there. It was a great 2nd Christmas for her. It was nice that she was awake for this Christmas...next year she will be running all over the place!

Grammy and Pops gave her a Pooh and Tigger table...she loves it!

Audra surprised her with a new red wagon and Pooh toy...if you haven't guessed she is obsessed with Pooh!
I love this rocking horse that my grandparents and Mae Mae and Paw Paw got for her. She looks so cute riding it. She was testing it out for the first time.

Christmas Eve

Here are a few pics from Christmas Eve. We had a great 2nd Christmas with Tori. We spent most of Christmas Eve at Bryan's parents then went to my parent's house for dinner. We also went to George Jones' to look at the Christmas lights...family tradition.

And We're Off

Well, we made it...Tori took her first steps on Thursday. She has taken steps by accident before, but these were steps with balance and all. She was so proud of herself after she did it. She did a full belly laugh and started clapping. Tori still loves crawling, but she takes several steps several times a day.

Tori in front of the Disney tree. She loves looking at the ornaments on the tree. Pooh, Tigger, and the musical Small World are her favorite.

Tori in her new big girl chair. Thanks Grammy and Pops!

We met Keeley, Amanda, and Emma Cate today at Puffy Muffin!
All Bryan's cousins at Kay and Neal's house!

Christmas is my favorite time of the year...even more now that Tori is here. Here are a few pics of the last couple of weeks.

Happy Birthday Tori!

Happy Birthday to Tori! It is hard to believe that one year ago we were in the hospital. I remember almost everything about those couple of days. Bryan and I were joyful, anxious, and nervous. She is such a blessing I am not even sure how to begin to describe! I am fortunate to stay home with her to see how much she changes every day. We love to hear her say Ma Ma and Da Da. She definitely knows how to melt her Daddy's heart.

She weighs 19 lbs. and is 29 inches long. She can say ball, bath, book, Tori, tree, deer, she calls Santa Ho Ho, she knows what sound a monkey makes, and she loves pointing to her nose, ears, and belly. She truly is a bundle of joy!

We are blessed to have both sets of our parents and aunts and uncles that love and care for her as if she were their own.

We spent the day with Audi, Paw Paw, and Mae Mae. We opened presents, ate lunch, and of course my day is not complete if I do not go to some craft stores so Mae Mae and I did a little shopping.

She loved the baby doll the Audi and Cole got for her. She did not want to stop giving it hugs and kisses.

It has been a great week of celebrating. We had a party on Saturday at our house. I will say that Tori did not enjoy herself the whole time. We had a little issue with the cake eating...o.k...big issue. She lost it. After she calmed down and I realized we were not going to enjoy her making a mess of eating her own birthday cake...everything went back to normal.

This was the 'huge' mess she made after she calmed down.

The girls loved helping Tori open all her presents.
Uncle D, Jes, Jeff, and Jenny got Tori a stroller, so we decided to sit her in it. I'm not sure if you can see the present in the background, but we really appreciate Brent and Julie getting us some finger paints for the bathtub. I cannot wait until she is old enough for that!
Grandma and Papaw sent her a new riding toy that she loved from the minute she opened it. She loves dancing to it.
Does this picture really need any words to explain?
Frances, Virginia, Libby, Emery, and Emma Cate. We had a time trying to get all the kids together for the picture. I just realized I uploaded the wrong one...Henry is not in this one.

A big thank you to Aunt Jessie for making Tori's first birthday cake with a very special recipe. It looked and tasted better than I imagined.

Audi made some cookies that went fast, too! Obviously the theme of the party was polka dots.

A perfect way to end my first birthday week!
